Junior Performance and Reporting Analyst

Location: London   Term: Permanent

We are recruiting for a Junior Performance and Reporting Analyst to be based in our London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to take responsibility for ensuring consistency of data as well as timely and accurate reporting and provision of responses to performance related requests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and load data files for manual monthly reporting processes.
  • Work with Development, Operations and Risk teams to monitor and maintain data consistency across Portfolio Management, Client Reporting and Data Warehouse systems.
  • Work with internal and external parties to ensure data consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Run monthly newsletter validation process, investigate and escalate any issues.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Investment Management teams on performance queries and new reporting requirements.
  • To calculate, monitor and publish all GIPS composites in line with the GIPS 2020 standards.

About You

  • You must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Maths, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or Economics.
  • Be able to demonstrate skills in the questioning and challenging of processes and methodologies.
  • High level of proficiency in technology including advanced level Excel.
  • Ability to work with large data sets, recognize problems and patterns, and generate data visualizations.
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills (written, oral and visual) required.
  • Proactive and flexible approach required – the individual will use their skills and experience to fully develop the role.

Advantageous

  • Understanding of financial markets and basic performance calculations.
  • Understanding of fixed income and a range of other instrument types.
  • Understanding of fund accounting, trade life cycle and investment management processes.
  • Ideally has familiarity with Python or other coding languages such as C++, Java or SQL.
  • Knowledge of BI software.

Operations Analyst

Location: Singapore   Term: Permanent

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to take responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of information into a client’s portfolio leading onto the accurate reconciliation of the portfolios resulting in sending the client’s investment reporting within their specified timeframes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the timely input of bond trades into the accounting system.
  • Post trade, ensure FX Connect positions are matched in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the processing of collateral, initial margin and clearing obligations.
  • Ensure the timely monitoring and settlement of trades within APAC time zone.
  • Investigate, identify and resolve any cash or nominal breaks on designated client portfolios.
  • Maintain static data relating to existing and new securities and counterparties.
  • Complete required regulatory reporting in line with Regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure portfolio NAV reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for completing internal reporting on performance /attribution for Investment Managers.
  • Send client reporting in line with investment management agreements.

About You

  • Must have 2 years buy side Investment Operations experience within a fixed income or multi-asset investment management environment.
  • Previous experience or an interest in global fixed income markets.
  • Some experience in NAV and cash reconciliations preferred.
  • Can demonstrate strong accuracy, a keen eye for detail and thoroughness in all areas.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and able to demonstrate good use of initiative.
  • Strong communication skills (including written, verbal and listening skills).
  • Computer literate including proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Previous experience with Biton or OMGEO/CTM preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team but also have the confidence to work autonomously when required.
  • Highly organised with good time management and prioritisation skills.

Shareholder Services Associate

Location: London   Term: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Shareholder Services Associate to be based in our London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to take responsibility for processing of client instructions through a number of control points and act as liaison Transfer Agent for Colchester Global Investors Pooled funds.

The successful candidate will be forward thinking and looking to improve the current processes and procedures. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to follow issues and responsibilities through to resolution, to meet deadlines and to perform well in a high-pressure environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Continuous monitoring of the Transfer Agency email account accurately on a daily basis.
  • Monitoring of Transfer Agent KPIs.
  • Adhere to all client specific deadlines to ensure Colchester is acting with due diligence on any client directed flows.
  • Knowledge of UCITS Transfer Agency related processes at a large asset manager – consequent review of existing Colchester processes and recommendations for improvements and changes where necessary.
  • Maintenance of funds database – accurate reconciliation experience.
  • Work on setting up new share classes by liaising with fund administrator and reflect set-up on internal systems and all related third party databases and platforms.
  • Creation of Key Investor Information Documents (KIIDs).

About You

  • Good understanding of settlement and other fund operational elements.
  • Strong communication skills (including written, verbal and listening skills).
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ Shareholder Services/Operations experience gained within an investment manager, investment bank, prime broker, fund administrator or custodian with a preferred knowledge of pooled fund structure.
  • Have previous experience working with data vendors, including understanding of data provision requirements for example Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Morningstar or FundInfo.
  • Investment Operations Certificate (formerly IAQ) considered an advantage.
  • Product experience in Bonds or FX preferred.
  • Can demonstrate strong accuracy, a keen eye for detail and thoroughness in all areas.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and able to demonstrate good use of initiative.
  • Strong communication skills (including written, verbal and listening skills).
  • Computer literate including advanced with MS Office, specifically Excel.
